Hunt and slay demons in this action game

Remnant II is a continuation of the critically acclaimed RPG Remnant: From the Ashes, in which humankind's last defenders face up against hordes of new lethal enemies and horrifying environments that are ruled by a godlike boss. You can play this action game solo or in co-op mode.

In Remnant II, your main mission is to uncover the source of the evil that endangers the very fabric of reality and vanquish it. You’ll have to rely on your skills and the skills of your teammates to overcome the odds and save humanity from extinction once and for all.

New worlds, new bosses

There are new worlds in Remnant II that you’ll have to explore. Mythical beasts and terrible opponents populate these new worlds, making survival a constant struggle. As you go from one realm to the next, you'll encounter a wide variety of monsters, tools, and other stuff. Put what you've learned to use and improve upon it so you can tackle more complex challenges.

This adventure game features a mix of methodical and frenetic gameplay for both ranged and melee weapons, and it brings back intelligent enemies as well as enormous boss battles. You'll need to select different pieces of gear and weapons based on the different environments and types of combat you'll be engaging in. Bosses put together formidable teams to take on challenging responsibilities and compete for increased incentives.

The game stays true to the original story and gameplay. It also introduces new weapons, like the saw melee and a shotgun, as well as a new mechanic which allows you to jump very high. However, one thing that changed in Remnant II is that it leans more toward gore and horror, which can be disturbing for some who are used to the first installment’s mild graphic violence and scenes.

More game enhancements

In a surprisingly daring twist, Remnant II is breaking free from its traditional dual co-op structure and elevating its gameplay with a thrilling tri-party co-op model. This system allows players to combine their powers for even more spine-tingling, skillful attacks. The game also promises an extended range of maps to explore, thrilling rewards to claim, and formidable foes to defeat.

But here's the clincher: each time you play, you will embark on a brand new journey, beginning from a procedurally generated world with a completely unique plotline for a truly unpredictable gaming experience. Take note that due to all these high-quality elements, the game will require a minimum of 80 GB of available storage space in order to accommodate all of the game files.

The upcoming The Forgotten Kingdom DLC

Remnant 2 fans can brace themselves for more content as the second DLC for the game, titled The Forgotten Kingdom, is currently undergoing development. In it, players will embark on a thrilling expedition through the lush forests of Yaesha. Set against a backdrop of breathtaking vistas and perilous encounters, this expansion breathes new life into the verdant jungles infested by the Root.

Drawing inspiration from the game’s first DLC, The Awakened King, The Forgotten Kingdom adopts a one-shot structure, introducing more intricately connected areas. Emphasizing the development team’s commitment to experimentation, it’s expected to blend procedural generation with handcrafted elements to deliver a truly immersive adventure. From towering heights reminiscent of Blighttown to the bullet-hell chaos of combat encounters, every corner of Yaesha will teem with untold secrets waiting to be uncovered.

As for the content—the DLC will introduce new enemy types, dungeons, and bosses that promise thrilling encounters for seasoned troopers and newcomers alike. It will stay loyal to the base game’s formula of refining what works while adding fresh challenges and enhancements that elevate the gameplay experience to new heights. Fans can also anticipate the introduction of a new Archetype tailored to skill-based builds.

An exciting sequel

Despite its horror and gore graphic changes, overall, Remnant II is a great sequel that continues from the main story and stays true to the original gameplay. It has new worlds and weapons that you’ll enjoy using while going up against new humanoids, demons, and creatures. It is recommended to those who loved the first installment and would wish to continue the epic battles in the second.
